'A Day of Fate' is a novel authored by Edward Payson Roe. The story follows a man who is introduced at the beginning of the story as feeling overworked and stressed due to his job as a night editor of a city journal. He is constantly working to produce the best paper, but this is leading to him making more and more mistakes. He realizes that his life is a blunder and that his constant anxiety to do everything right is causing his mind to snap. Thinking to himself, he starts to come to the realization that he needs to slow down before he burns himself out.
